Ingrams Electric and Battery Commercial Clocks

The commercial range of Ingrams clocks has been a favourite of schools, offices, government and hospitals for many years. Ingrams clocks are available in a wide range of sizes, styles and movement types.

Available movement types include:

  • Mains powered electric (synchronous) with sweeping second hand.
  • Quartz (AA battery) with stepping second hand.
  • Quartz (AA battery) with sweeping second hand.
  • 240v Quartz Electric with battery back up.
  • 240v Synchronous wired impulse.
  • Minute impulse slave.
  • Seconds impulse slave.
  • SR2/3 slave.
  • Heavy duty quartz.
  • Time code movements. 

Slave movements are also available in radio silent versions.

The commercial range feature a spun alloy case (clear varnish over satin finish std, can be painted) alloy face std white enamel with Ingrams arabic (normal) numerals in black, roman numerals or “chaplets”.

Many face designs are available including, arabic (normal), roman numerals, simple markers (or “chaplets”) and three different 24hr faces, suitable for international time zone displays.

  • Available in sizes 230mm, 300mm, 380mm and 450mm. For larger sizes see our Factory Clocks range below.
  • Standard hands are tapered black hour and minute, red sweeping or stepping second hand. Black second hands available.
  • Standard lens is domed glass. Non reflective glass or plastic lenses are available as options.
  • Bottom setting available on electric clocks. Back setting standard.

Factory Clocks

Ingrams Large Industrial Clocks

Ingrams 600mm and 900mm indoor and outdoor clocks are available in a wide variety of faces, two of the more common are pictured.

Cases are of spun aluminium construction, faces are either solid aluminium or acrylic plastic for internally illuminated clocks. Plastic lenses are used.

There are different types of movements available including quartz battery (5 year battery life), 240v AC and slave types. Each has their advantages and disadvantages.

In brief they are -

Quartz battery powered, easily moved from one area to another without requiring a power or slave clock point or wiring. These clocks offer slightly less accurate timekeeping, service life and the need to replace batteries. Daylight saving changes need to be manually set.

Mains Electric 240 volt powered, good time keeping and long service life. Disadvantages are that any power interruption or irregularity causes an incorrect time to be shown and 24o volt power must be available at the clock location. Daylight saving changes need to be manually set.

Minute Impulse Slave Movement, good time keeping and long service life. Daylight savings time changes are automatically set by the master clock, which also has an internal memory in case of power failure. A master clock is required along with associated cabling.

Food Industry Clocks

Ingrams 300mm Battery and Electric Food Industry Clocks are easily removable from the bracket for wall cleaning, battery changing or daylight saving time setting.

Food industry clocks are designed to sit away from the wall to allow wall washing and can also be tilted for easier reading if mounted high.
